Exercise Referral

Exercise referral

Medical conditions require special attention and care. To alleviate symptoms of medical conditions, the patient may be referred by their GP to a specialist exercise instructor who will design a bespoke training program. Indeed, scientific research has shown that, in many instances, exercise diminishes the symptoms associated with certain types of debilitating conditions [e.g., Cléroux, Feldman, and Petralla (1999); and Durstine et al. (2009)] as well as lifestyle changes [e.g., Whelton et al. (2002)].

I am qualified to help anyone who suffers from the following medical conditions (this is only if a GP has stated that it is fine to exercise and that exercise is beneficial for helping the medical condition, and has referred them to an appropriately qualified fitness professional):

(1) Obesity;

(2) Diabetes;

(3) Osteoporosis;

(4) Rheumatoid Arthritis;

(5) Osteoarthritis;

(6) Non-Specific, Simple Back Pain;

(7) DepressionStress, and Anxiety;

(8) Hypercholesterolaemia;

(9) Hypertension;

(10) Asthma;

(11) Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.

If you are interested, get in touch so that we can discuss arranging an up-to-date diagnosis with a GP, discuss lifestyle changes, and then the possibility of constructing an exercise program for you.
